Redeem, the leading mobile phone recycling and re-commerce company in Europe, is delighted to announce that it has won, in a joint submission with Telefónica UK, the European Supply Chain Excellence award for Customer Service and Support for its work with O2 Recycle, its mobile-phone trade-in and recycling programme, on 16 November 2015.
Redeem provides recycling and re-commerce services for mobile phones across three channels: direct to consumer (via the Envirofone brand), business to business and white label solutions, in 24 countries around the world. It extends the life cycle of mobile phones and laptops by recovering and reusing over 90% of the equipment it processes.
In the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2015, Redeem and Telefónica UK won a Special Category award for Customer Service and Support for their work on O2 Recycle, beating Cromwell Group, EE and Philips Consumer Lifestyle. O2 Recycle is the largest recycling programme of its kind in Europe, which Redeem has supported since 2009, returning in that time over £100m to customers. In January 2015, Redeem announced a continuation of the arrangement, with a three-year deal with Telefónica UK.
Mark Chambers, CCO of Redeem said,
“We are delighted for this recognition from this leading industry award. O2’s mobile-phone trade-in and recycling programme is the clear market leader among major network operators in the UK and Redeem is proud that its strong and successful partnership continues. ”
Nicky McGroarty, Head of Supply Chain Telefónica UK added,
“O2 Recycle delivers a great experience for our customers and I am extremely proud that this has been recognised in the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards. Through Telefónica’s partnership with Redeem, we have grown O2 Recycle into one of Europe’s leading trade-in schemes and we look forward to more success in the future.”
